چکیده

ABSTRACT Introduction: Spinopelvic parameters related to sagittal balance have become increasinglyimportantamong spine surgeons due their correlation with patient satisfaction rates. Objective: The goal of this study was evaluate changes in spinal after lumbar surgery using PLIF, the posterior interbody fusion technique. Methods: sample consisted adult patients degenerative disease submitted arthrodesis. Patients between 18 and 70 years agewho underwent surgeryfrom 2015 2017 were included divided into short (1 level) long arthrodesis (2 4 levels) groups. Radiographic analysis spinopelvic parameters, measured before arthrodesis, conducted SURGIMAP software. Then we evaluated variation pre- postoperative measurements performed linear regression analyses parameters. Results: composed 80 (48 men). mean age lower group than (52.67 ± 9.66 versus 59.37 9.30 years, respectively; p<0.0025). Significant variations lordosis, pelvic tilt, vertical axis, T1 angle, incidence minus lordosis found both significantly larger group. Conclusion: In disease, by PLIF allows correction Level evidence III; Retrospective, comparative study.

Sagittal spinopelvic parameters in 2-level lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis

The purpose of our study is to evaluate sagittal parameters in 2-level lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis (DS) (TLDS).A total of 15 patients with TLDS, 40 patients with single-level DS (SLDS), and 30 normal volunteers as control were included in our study. All subjects performed on full spine X-ray. Two categorized data were analyzed: patient characteristics-age, sex, body mass index, radiog...

Outcome of the L5-S1 segment after posterior instrumented spinal surgery in degenerative lumbar diseases.

BACKGROUND Posterior decompression, instrumentation, and posterolateral fusion are surgical procedures for the treatment of degenerative lumbar diseases. Solid fusion usually causes adjacent problems. This study investigated the clinical outcome and radiographic fate of the L5-S1 segment in patients who underwent posterior instrumented surgery for degenerative lumbar diseases. METHODS From Ja...

Comparison of Sagittal Spinopelvic Alignment between Lumbar Degenerative Spondylolisthesis and Degenerative Spinal Stenosis

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the differences in sagittal spinopelvic alignment between lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis (DSPL) and degenerative spinal stenosis (DSS). METHODS Seventy patients with DSPL and 72 patients with DSS who were treated with lumbar interbody fusion surgery were included in this study. The following spinopelvic parameters were measured on who...

Late posterior hip instability after lumbar spinopelvic fusion

The kinematic relationship between the hip and the axial skeleton is dynamic and can be variable based on individual anatomy. It has been shown [1] that pelvic incidence (sacral slope + pelvic tilt) can be used as a proxy to determine the ability of the pelvis to accommodate changes in sagittal balance. Individuals have varied pelvic incidence and thus may adapt differently degenerative and/or ...

Postoperative Flat Back: Contribution of Posterior Accessed Lumbar Interbody Fusion and Spinopelvic Parameters

OBJECTIVE Posterior accessed lumbar interbody fusion (PALIF) has a clear objective to restore disc height and spinal alignment but surgeons may occasionally face the converse situation and lose lumbar lordosis. We analyzed retrospective data for factors contributing to a postoperative flat back. METHODS A total of 105 patients who underwent PALIF for spondylolisthesis and stenosis were enroll...
